As William Garvey Ltd continues to expand we are always interested to hear from furniture makers whose skills and experience would be well suited to the excellent standards of our company.

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Project Manager who would have the following skills.

Extremely good understanding of how timber furniture is made. Preferably worked as a cabinetmaker in the past.

Extensive knowledge of how fully fitted furniture and panelling are incorporated into a building and the integration of M&E.

Excellent people skills and a forceful personality. Confident working with our cabinetmakers and sub-contractors/installers and other stakeholders e.g. architects, interior designers, main contractors, electricians and plumbers.

The job would involve carrying out the following roles.

Overseeing the preparation of the design and working drawings to ensure that they are ready for production to start on the date agreed in the production program.

Client and site liaison.

Create and circulate project programs.

Co-ordination of the drawings office, purchasing, production, delivery and site installation teams
Ensure that project procedures are followed e.g. threat harvesting and weekly project meetings and actions are carried out. Drawing office and workshop briefings. Checking on work in progress. Job sign off, etc.
