This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the UK’s finest furniture makers. We produce luxury furniture for clients in the UK and all over the world. We pride ourselves on the quality of our craftsmanship and design and we are looking for a business development manager to join our friendly team.
You will be responsible for liaising with existing key accounts, such as high-end architects, main contractors and interior designers. It is therefore important to have a good understanding of the luxury furniture market and the product must be something you are very passionate about.
You must be self-sufficient and be able to work autonomously, plus It is essential to have a strong sales background and be confident talking with decision makers.
Ideally you will be comfortable with the use of social media and have previously used a CRM system to manage your contacts effectively.
Specifically we are looking for candidates that can clearly show organisational skills, confident presentational skills and clear communication.
A practical background or knowledge of furniture would be beneficial. However, thorough training will be given to the correct individual.
As the business development manager, your main aim will be to generate new business for the company. This is facilitated through a data base of existing clients and supported by a successful digital marketing strategy. You will be required to travel at least one day a week to meet new clients as and when required.
We see this as a position for an individual fairly early in their career and who is keen to develop their knowledge and skill to progress within our company. The working pattern is subject to agreement but it is possible that a four day working week could be considered.
The salary is £25-£30k and includes a company car, company pension and company sickness benefit.
