House in Hampstead

Designer: Serrano Evans

Working closely with the architect Elantha Evans of Serrano Evans, William Garvey provided a detailed survey of the living room, bedroom, and bathroom which resulted in production drawings, manufacture, delivery and installation of freestanding and fitted furniture.

The fitted units in the living room were finished in dyed ash and walnut veneer supplied by Mundy Veneers.

The tall floating door panels in the bedroom were finished with embroidered suede by Helen Amy Murray creating a screen for the stained curly maple drawers and cupboards.

The wet room included a Geo deep bath with step/seat and the walls were clad in William Garvey’s 100% waterproof teak ‘tiles’. The floor included teak duckboard which sits flush with the floor boards.

William Garvey were particularly good at keeping in touch and communicating – even chasing us when we were delaying you by not confirming something. Communication is most important, and can be the most frustrating thing about working with people, I think very little goes wrong when people are in a constant dialogue as we were – so I think our project worked really well.
