Pricing
Our quotations reflect a clear understanding of the brief, broken down by each element of the work. As the project progresses, this forms the basis of a working document that records all additions and changes, giving you a full and up-to-date financial picture throughout.
Our experienced estimator ensures every proposal is thorough, logical and easy to understand, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Planning
Weekly planning meetings sit at the heart of our operations. These sessions provide real-time updates, giving our team and yours a clear sense of progress.
This level of oversight allows us to stay flexible, respond to changing timelines and keep every aspect of the project running smoothly.
Project Management
All aspects of each project is overseen by one dedicated and experienced project manager from start-up to handover, ensuring complete continuity and consistency. Our project mannagers are often referred to as client representatives – acting as the eyes and ears of the client within William Garvey to make sure that the client’s interests are prioritised and fulfilled.
Like almost all the management staff, our project managers have been cabinet makers themselves, and understand what quality is, be it workmanship, design, planning or service.
unique skills
Materials
We specialise in timber, but our work often brings together many different materials from architectural metalwork and complex finishes to bespoke upholstery and specialist glass.
Most processes take place in-house. Where required, we also collaborate with trusted craftspeople and subcontractors to deliver a fully integrated result, coordinated from the design stage onwards.
Drawing
Whether we’re working from your concept or contributing proposals of our own, our drawing office produces precise, detailed drawings that support integration with the architectural, engineering and specialist elements of the project. Every component, material and fixing is detailed, and where appropriate, we create 3D models to resolve complexity and reduce risk.
Most of our work involves one-off pieces made to demanding tolerances. There’s no margin for error. Our process is designed to give you clarity and confidence at every stage, from early feasibility to final installation.
project continuity
Manufacture
Our workshop brings together a team of exceptional craftspeople, many of whom have worked with us for a decade or two, even three.
This continuity, combined with steady investment in advanced machinery and finishing technology, gives us a rare blend of knowledge, capability and attention to detail all under one roof.
Packing and Delivery
Our packing system is designed to ensure that every piece is carefully labelled, packed and delivered with care and to suit site requirements. This process is the same whether our work is travelling across the UK or around the world.
Developed and refined in-house, our system is staggeringly thorough and the result of years of experience and a lot of thinking. We’ve delivered tens of thousands of the carefully crafted components that make up our joinery, cabinetry and furniture, and they always arrive as they should.

Installation
Installation is a true team effort. Project managers coordinate logistics, ensuring the fitting process integrates precisely with the building and broader scheme.
Our installers approach each project with care, precision and an awareness of the importance of effective communication throughout the process. Once the work is complete, we protect and prepare it for handover.
Aftercare
We believe that great service doesn’t end with installation. Nearly all of our work comes from repeat clients, confident they’ll receive the same level of care and attention as they did at the outset.
Whether you need advice, repairs or additions, we’re here to help keep your furniture and interiors looking and performing as beautifully as the day they were made.
“In 2013 I chose William Garvey to make all my joinery. They were a delightful company to work with and there was communication every step of the way. From the technical drawings to installation I can’t fault them. Over the years since installation, I have had items damaged and William Garvey have always been there to help, advise and fix all issues for me. I would have no issues recommending them to anyone who wants a first class product and a first class service. They care and their products are of a high quality and made to last. Many years later all my William Garvey joinery and furniture look as they did the day they were installed.” Client, Hampstead, London
