For almost five decades, William Garvey has pioneered the creation of waterproof wooden furniture. It began with a simple request for a timber sink. That single commission led us to reimagine how wood could perform in wet environments and how it could enrich the washing and bathing experience.

Drawing on a tradition that dates back centuries, we refined and re-engineered the design of early wooden sinks, once made to protect delicate porcelain from damage when being washed. Modern techniques and materials have transformed these humble beginnings into something entirely more robust and fit for contemporary living. Today, we produce watertight wooden baths, sinks, basins, shower trays, duckboards, and teak tiles and panels for wet rooms, bathrooms, showers, spas, and steam and treatment rooms around the world.

As skilled bespoke furniture makers, we say yes to ambitious ideas and technical challenges. Our approach means there are few restrictions on the waterproof wooden furniture, bathrooms and wellness spaces we can create. Each piece is handmade by our team of experts in our Devon workshop. Every detail considered. Every piece built to last.

Our waterproof furniture is available in a range of woods and finishes. The lowest maintenance finish is our High-Performance Lacquer, which has a very gentle sheen.
