For almost five decades, William Garvey has pioneered the creation of waterproof wooden furniture for wellness spaces. It began with a simple request for a timber sink. That single commission led us to reimagine how wood could perform in wet environments and how it could elevate the washing and bathing experience.

Drawing on a tradition dating back centuries, we have refined and re-engineered the design of early wooden sinks, once made to protect delicate porcelain from damage. Modern techniques and materials have transformed these rough beginnings into something entirely more robust and fit for contemporary living. Today, we produce water-tight wooden baths, sinks, basins, shower trays, duckboards, and teak tiles and panels for wet rooms, bathrooms, showers, pools, spas, steam and treatment rooms around the world.

As skilled bespoke furniture makers, there are no restrictions on the furniture we can create for a wellness space. Each piece will be made by hand by our skilled team of craftspeople in our Devon workshop. Every detail considered. Every piece built to last.

Our waterproof furniture is available in a range of hardwoods and finishes. Lacquered pieces offer a low-sheen, tactile surface that resists moisture, heat and wear. For clients who prefer an unsealed finish, we can supply raw timber that develops a gentle patina over time.
